Evasive Dash is a Light class specialization that allows its user to perform a dash frequently, which rapidly moves them a small distance in any direction.

Overview
Usage
The Evasive Dash is a Light Build specialization focused on quick mobility.

Interactions
Evasive Dash can be selected as the specialization gadget of any Light build loadout.

* Evasive Dash has three charges that can be used consecutively or individually.
The specialization trigger can be used to perform a dash. The direction of the dash depends on the direction in which its user is attempting to move. For example, if the movement trigger is set to move to the left while activating Evasive Dash, it will perform a dash to the left.
* After using at least one dash, a cooldown will begin that will recharge one dash.

* The dashes propel the user in the direction of their movement input. If the user is not holding any movement buttons, the dash will go forward.
The vertical direction of the dash depends on the looking direction of the user. If the user is looking upwards, the dash will move up. However, Evasive Dash is primarily a horizontal movement tool and cannot go straight up or down.
* The trajectory of the dash is affected by the direction that the user is looking, i.e., looking up will make the dash travel vertically.

* This specialization enables quick movement throughout the arena, in the air and on the ground. Evasive Dash is commonly used in combination with  weapons that benefit from hit-and-run, close-quarter fights, such as the M11 or Sword. It enables freedom of movement, and allows the user to be more aggressive in combat, while also offering the mobility to disengage from a risky fight.
* The biggest limitation of the Evasive Dash is its limited use when in large open areas, as well as the long cooldown after the three dashes, making it less reliable when an attack does not reach its climax within the first few seconds. After this, the user could become vulnerable to a counter attack. Furthermore, the Evasive Dash could result in overlooking traps such as mines.

Evasive Dash is a Light class specialization that allows its user to perform a dash frequently, which rapidly moves them a small distance in any direction.

Evasive Dash can be selected as the specialization gadget of any Light build loadout.

The specialization trigger can be used to perform a dash. The direction of the dash depends on the direction in which its user is attempting to move. For example, if the movement trigger is set to move to the left while activating Evasive Dash, it will perform a dash to the left.

The vertical direction of the dash depends on the looking direction of the user. If the user is looking upwards, the dash will move up. However, Evasive Dash is primarily a horizontal movement tool and cannot go straight up or down.

Specialization

Evasive Dash can be activated to dash a short distance, going in a direction based on the user's movement inputs and their looking direction. Uniquely, using this specialization does not interrupt actions such as drawing the Recurve Bow, holding a Sword lunge or scoping in with the SR-84.

Gadget

Self Targeted — Can be activated to apply an effect to the contestant that used it.

Multiple Charges — Can be used 3 times. When a charge is used, it automatically recharges over the cooldown time.

No Disarm — Does not stop the user from using their other items while the gadget is active. The user can act while dashing, or even dash in the middle of an action.

Dash

Movement — Provides a special mode of transport for contestants.

Strengths

  • The Evasive Dash can be used to quickly close the gap to reach an opponent, as many Light weapons rely on getting close to the target.
    • The Evasive Dash also helps with getting away, another important feature for Light contestants who do not have much health.
  • The Evasive Dash can be used to take cover, such as by dashing sideways or backwards into an opening.

Weaknesses

  • The Stun Gun can make an Evasive Dash user unable to use it.
  • The Evasive Dash has limited usefulness in wide open areas, where dashing behind cover is not possible.
  • Using Evasive Dash carelessly could result in dashing into a trap such as an Explosive Mine.

Tactics

  • The Evasive Dash synergizes well with the Throwing Knives, as the weapon's accuracy is not affected by intense movement.
  • The Evasive Dash can be combined with the Sword's lunge ability to extend its range.

Item mastery XP for the Evasive Dash can be earned solely by activating it.

Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
