Glitch Barrels are arena carriables that create glitch blasts on impact.
Overview
Like any barrel, Glitch Barrels are placed at random locations picked from a large set of fixed barrel locations specific to the arena. They can also be obtained from balloons. Contestants can pick up the barrel and carry it around the arena.
The barrel explodes when:
- The barrel takes enough damage
- It contacts a solid surface after being thrown by a contestant
- It contacts a solid surface after falling from a balloon.
Once exploded, affected players and gadgets will be glitched. The effect is the same as with Glitch Grenade or Glitch Trap explosions.
The Glitch Barrel is currently not found in the Data Reshaper barrel rotation.
Strategy
- The Glitch Barrel can be used to glitch enemy emplacements when neither a Light or Medium with glitch utility are present.
- The Glitch Barrel is a direct counter to the APS Turret, as thrown barrels are not affected by APS area denial.
