Overview

Monaco, officially the Principality of Monaco, is a sovereign city-state and microstate on the French Riviera.

First Appearance

Old Town Monaco was the first map for THE FINALS to be teased, with streets lined with the flag of Monaco appearing in the first game teaser, published by Embark Studios[1] on Twitter in November 2021. The map was also the basis for all gameplay shown in the game's first full trailer.

From the appearance of the trailer(s) it appears the map is partially, or fully, set on the Rock of Monaco.

The Old Town Monaco map was teased via Twitter in November 2021.

Release

Old Town Monaco was the first (and only) map to be released for the Closed Alpha playtest for THE FINALS, on September 29, 2022.

Features

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception (also known as Saint Nicholas Cathedral), as seen in this concept art for THE FINALS, features in the Old Town Monaco map. And is seen being hit by a Meteor Shower in this image.
