Level 2 - The Promise

Level Two: The Promise was the second level of THE FINALS Easter Egg Hunt. It was activated on October 4, 2022 and ended on March 22, 2024, leading into Level Three: The Hunt.

History

Activation

On October 2, 2022, Embark Studios CCO Rob Runesson posted an image of half of a QR code and a messageː "HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0O" (this has been edited for brevity, the full message was over 400 characters long). Later that day, hunters noticed that the 19th character in "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0O" was the number 0, not the letter O. Soon afterwards, hunters separately decoded the original half-QR code and found a new URL on the official THE FINALS website: reachthefinals.com/tfee_level2 (this address was later replaced by reachthefinals.com/tfee-level2). On the page was a GIF named "" of Nama Tama saying that Level Two - "The Promise" was loading. Just one minute later, the URL reachthefinals.com/gooooooooooooooooo was discovered using the first 18 characters of "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0O" in Rob's earlier message. It contained the image "sneakyQR", a new quarter of the QR code that led to the Level Two URL, although this was no longer needed. It was also found that reachthefinals.com/tfee redirected to the Level Two URL.

On October 4, hunters noticed that reachthefinals.com/tfee-level2 was active. It contained links to 9 tiers, all locked and marked with an X. Tier 2ABC and Tier 2DEF were originally separated like the others, before being moved to share the same row. After completing a tier, its X would turn red and its password would appear below it.
